Consumer Spending on Home Remodeling

Earlier this month, a report was released by Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies stating that consumer spending on home remodeling is expected to increase in 2011.

According to the report, three main groups are expected to drive this year’s remodeling expenditures:

  1. Homeowners that have recently purchased discounted or foreclosed homes.
  2. Consumers interested in taking advantage of federal tax credits for energy-efficient upgrades like windows.
  3. Baby boomers that are preparing their homes for retirements. They’re in need of better lighting, among other aging-in-place features. And they’re looking for upgrades at a valuable price.

If you fall into one or more on these groups, now is the perfect time for you to call Bordner at (816)-358-2102 so we can help you start planning for your home upgrades. Our special money saving offers end on March 31st , so don’t delay!
