Marvin Integrity vs. Infinity Windows: Key Differences

Mar 20, 2023

Comparing two windows from the same manufacturer is rarely worthwhile because they’re typically made to the same standards. However, there are considerable differences when comparing Marvin Integrity vs. Infinity windows. This means homeowners have a tough decision when weighing these two high-performance options.

Initially, Infinity was developed for the replacement market segment, whereas Integrity by Marvin windows was built for the new construction market. Today, both window types are manufactured using Marvin Essentials Fiberglass. If you’re looking to upgrade your windows, both are worth exploring.

With the similarities out of the way, let’s compare Marvin Integrity vs. Infinity windows.

Marvin Integrity vs. Infinity Windows: Key Differences

Comparing Integrity by Marvin and Infinity by Marvin windows? While they have a lot in common, there are enough differences that make exploring them worthwhile. Here are some key differences worth noting.

Product Options

Integrity and Infinity windows offer different products within each fiberglass line.

With Marvin Integrity windows, you will find the Marvin Elevate window, consisting of a true wood and fiberglass interior. The Elevate is available in six exterior colors. The second Integrity option is the All Ultrex Windows. The All Ultrex is made solely of fiberglass, with six exterior colors.

Marvin Infinity comes with six exterior colors and a choice between two pre-finished interiors or a faux wood interior. The faux wood interior, known as the Everwood, is a woodgrain option for staining. Both product lines contain access to several exterior color selections, including Pebble Gray and Stone White.

However, Integrity offers more color options, with Evergreen & Ebony. Infinity has its exclusives, with Sierra and Bahama Brown options.

Hardware/Glass Options

Hardware finishes and glass options form those more minor details that elevate your home’s windows. In this area, Infinity by Marvin windows beats out its competitors.

You can choose from eight hardware finishes and several decorative glass options, including Rain and Frost. Integrity only offers five hardware finishes and no additional decorative glass options other than the standard obscured glass.

But what’s the point of these differences?

It makes sense because of who these product lines were designed for. Marvin Infinity windows were developed for existing homeowners upgrading their windows, requiring more options. Integrity windows were aimed at the new build market, with contractors who prioritize rapid development in mind.

Warranty

Every Marvin window comes with a warranty, but the product line you choose impacts the type of warranty available.

If you buy Infinity Windows, it will come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The Limited Life Warranty is transferable. Once the original owner moves, the warranty is transferred and becomes a 10/20 warranty. Your 10/20 warranty covers 20 years of glass failure and 10 years of exterior and hardware coverage.

Integrity windows automatically come with a 10/29 warranty and are fully transferable in all circumstances, rather than just if the original homeowner moves, making it a more flexible warranty option.

Price

The additional toughness and intricate construction of these windows mean these product lines will cost more than the average vinyl window.

What you pay extra for in cost you receive back in terms of more expansive views, better window performance, and longevity.

Generally, Integrity windows will always have a lower price tag than Infinity windows. However, with so many features, options, and add-ons, your final bill will ultimately depend on your decisions.

How to Choose Between Marvin Integrity vs. Infinity Windows

Choosing windows can seem daunting. The challenge only becomes more significant when choosing between two windows from the same manufacturer. With these product lines having so much in common, you can’t really go wrong with your window choice.

If you’re struggling to decide which window works best for your home, here are some tips for comparing these windows.

Style

Infinity windows were always marketed at homeowners thinking about replacing their existing windows, meaning more options are available for finishes.

If you want to take advantage of decorative glass and a range of unique hardware finishes, the Infinity wins every time.

However, Marvin Integrity windows also possess a selection of exclusive hardware finishes for you to choose from.

Remember, whether you’re a contractor or homeowner, you can purchase windows from these product lines.

Durability

Marvin windows are always known for their durability, and their fiberglass windows far surpass what any vinyl window can offer.

However, which window is stronger if you’re looking for extreme durability? Truthfully, there is little difference. However, it’s worth noting that the Ultrex material within the Integrity window line was the first fiberglass window to receive verification from the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA).

Integrity offers marginally better performance levels when it comes to durability, so if you live in a challenging climate, this could be the right window choice for you.

Energy Efficiency

Fiberglass is a nonconductive material, meaning it’s leak-resistant and won’t allow hot or cold air into your home. Upgrading your windows from vinyl to fiberglass is a method of reducing your carbon footprint instantly.

Again, both sets of windows perform exceptionally well in this department. However, only Marvin Integrity has received the official Energy Star seal of approval.

Energy Star is the body that highlights products that are great for the environment and follows federal guidelines. On average, energy bills nationwide decrease by 12% with Energy Star windows.

Pricing

Are you upgrading your home on a budget and need to plan your purchases carefully? The costs are relatively similar when comparing Marvin Integrity vs. Infinity pricing, but the Integrity line can be slightly more affordable depending on the add-ons and finishes you choose.
